This is a direct replacement heavy duty rear coil spring kit which completely removes the old air bag suspension. This is the recommended kit to use if you do heavy towing. Suitable for all petrol and diesel BMW E53 X5 models (2000-2006) with rear air bag suspension. The cars handling and ride height is not affected. Fitting time is around 2 hours. If your X5 also has front air suspension we can offer advice on converting the front to coil springs as well.

With regards to the "SELFLEVEL SUSP. INACT" error that is sometimes displayed on the dash, this can be switched off afterwards by using the bmw 1.4.0 scanner software which is available to buy on eBay for under £10. This will permanently remove the error message from the dash. IF YOU ARE LOCAL TO GLASGOW I CAN ALSO SWITCH OFF THE ERROR MESSAGE FREE OF CHARGE WHEN PURCHASING A COIL SPRING CONVERSION KIT.
