Vintage Australian stuffed Kangaroo toy with baby Joey in her pouch. Quite rare.

It is firm to the touch and appears to be fur on the outside. Possibly stuffed with grass or straw.

Button eyes.

Stands firmly.

11" tall 8" wide

It has not been played with and was for the most part decorative on a dresser. It has been carefully stored over the years.

Originally I believe she had a pink ribbon around her neck which is no longer present.

I know the history of this as it was a gift from a great Aunt to me in the early 50's when I was young.

She lived in Australia and brought it as a gift to me on one of her visits to the UK where I lived at the time.

I recall that she also bought a similar toy for my brother, his was a Koala bear which I believe is much more common than this Kangaroo.
