BIOGRAPHY: Guillaume Azoulay, was born in Casablanca and raised in Paris where he sold his art to tourists. That interaction inspired him to travel through Europe and the Middle East. In 1967 Azoulay was living in Israel and by 1976 California where he currently resides. His linear style is well suited to that of the master printmaker he is and he is known informally as the “King of the Line”. Most of his original drawings relate in some way to etchings and serigraphs which form the largest part of his output. He is one of the youngest living artists to have work in the permanent collection of the Bibliotheque National Du Louvre in Paris.
