DRIVER INSTALLATION: (P/N: C870)

Windows 10 will download and install the correct drivers. If this process does not occur automatically the driver installation process can be initiated by selecting 'Update Driver' from 'Device Manager' via 'Control Panel'. Drivers for previous revisions of Windows can be obtained from the manufacturers web site.

FORM FACTOR COMPATIBILITY: (P/N: C870)

The PCI bracket on this graphics card is designed for use with 'Low Profile' / 'Small Form Factors' desktop computers. Low Profile / small form factor PCI brackets are approximately 70 - 80 mm length. If the length of the PCI brackets in your system you are closer to 110 - 120 mm this graphics card will not work with your system.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: (P/N: C870)

- Available 'PCI-Express 3.0 x8' slot capable of supplying 65 watts of power.*

- Low Profile / Small Form Factor system build.

- Compatible DVI or DisplayPort cable (not included).

- Other factors that may influence performance include, but are not limited to you system CPU and RAM specification.

* Compatible with 'PCI-Express 2.0 x16' slot cable of supplying 65 watts of power. But performance limited to bandwidth of 8 GB/s.

DEVICE HARDWARE SPECIFICATION: (P/N: C870)

Dual Display Support: Yes (Mirrored Displays & Extended Displays).

Port 1: DisplayPort v1.2 (with 'HBR2' channel).

Port 2: Digital Video Interface - Integrated Dual Link (DVI-I DL).*

* The 'DVI-Integrated Dual Link' (DVI-I DL) port, is backwards compatible with all vesions of DVI cables eg: 'DVI-Analogue' (DVI-A) and 'DVI-Digital' (DVI-D) including both Single Link & Dual Link versions of 'DVI-D'. However the maximum resolutions and refresh rates attenuate to the bandwidth limits of 'DVI-A' or 'DVI-D' (Single Link) when using these types of cables, adapter or connecting ports. 'DVI-D' (Dual Link) is sufficient (will work) at the maximum colour depth, resolution and refresh rates defined for DVI below. The eight (8th) image of the listing can be used to differentiate DVI variants based on their pin configuration.

DEVICE MAXIMUM COLOUR DEPTH, RESOLUTION & REFRESH RATE : (P/N: C870)

Results of testing this graphics noted below, these value are the maximum that the card is cable of:

DisplayPort v1.2 (with 'HBR2' channel) - Maximum Resolution & Refresh Rate @ 8-bit:*

- 3840 x 2160 (2160p / UHD / 4K) @ 60 Hz.

- 2560 x 1440 (1440p / QHD) @ 144 Hz.

- 1920 x 1080 (1080p / FHD) @ 240 Hz.

DisplayPort v1.2 (with 'HBR2' channel)  - Maximum Resolution & Refresh Rate @ 10-bit:*

- 3840 x 2160 (2160p / UHD / 4K) @ 60 Hz.

- 2560 x 1440 (1440p / QHD) @ 120 Hz.

- 1920 x 1080 (1080p / FHD) @ 144 Hz.

DVI-D (Single Link) - Maximum Resolution & Refresh Rate.

1920 x 1080 (1080p / FHD) @ 60 Hz (and 1920 x 1200).

DVI-D (Dual Link) - Maximum Resolution & Refresh Rate.**

- 2560 x 1440 (1440p / QHD) @ 75 Hz (and 1920 x 1200).

- 1920 x 1080 (1080p / FHD) @ 144 Hz.

Extended Displays - Maximum Resolution & Refresh Rate:*/**

 - If display 1 or 2 via DisplayPort v1.2 (with 'HBR2' channel) is set to 3840 x 2160 (2160p / UHD / 4K) @ 60 Hz; Maximum for display 2 via DVI-D (Dual-Link) is 2560 x 1440 (1440p / QHD) @ 75 Hz.

 - If display 1 or 2 via DisplayPort v1.2 (with 'HBR2' channel) is set to 3840 x 2160 (2160p / UHD / 4K) @ 60 Hz; Maximum for display 2 via DVI-D (Single-Link) is 1920 x 1080 (1080p / FHD) @ 60 Hz.

Mirror Displays - Maximum Resolution & Refresh Rate:*/**

 - If display 1 or 2 via DVI-D (Dual-Link) is set to 2560 x 1440 (1440p / QHD) @ 75 Hz; Maximum for display 1 or 2 via DP v1.2 (with HBR2 channel) is 2560 x 1440 (1440p / QHD) @ 75 Hz.

 - If display 1 or 2 via DVI-D (Single-Link) is set to 1920 x 1080 (1080p / FHD) @ 60 Hz; Maximum for display 1 or 2 via DP v1.2 (with HBR2 channel) is 1920 x 1080 (1080p / FHD) @ 60 Hz.

* DP: The maximum resolution and hertz frequency at the defined colour depth bit-rate can only be achieved if all devices in the connecting chain are of DisplayPort version 1.2, supporting 'HBR2' (High Bit Rate 2) transmission mode and bandwidths of 21.60 Gb/s (data rate: 17.28 Gb/s) or greater. If one of more devices is of a lesser or lower specification, connected devices may attenuate to a lower resolution or hertz frequency. If this does not occur automatically you may need to manually specify a lower resolution or hertz frequency on the transmitting device before a signal input is detectable on the receiving device. Keep in mind that at the time DisplayPort version 1.2 standards were defined, inclusion of the 'HBR2' channel  was optional for manufacturers and this has led to some DisplayPort version 1.2 cables / adapters being capable of 4K at 60 Hz and others limited to 4K at 30 Hz. If your Display Port version 1.2 cable doesn't not contain a 'HBR2' channel, overall performance is limited to Display Port 1.1a standards were the maximum resolution is (3840 x 2160 / UHD / 4K) @ 30 Hz.

** DVI: The maximum resolution and hertz frequency can only be achieved if all devices in the connecting chain are specifically of the DVI 'dual link' type. The seventh (7th) image of the listing can be used to differentiate DVI variants based on their pin configuration. Where the receiving device or devices in the connecting chain are 'Single Link' or 'Analogue' DVI variants the maximum resolution is 1920 x 1080 (1080p) @ 60 Hz (or 1920 x 1200). If any of the connected devices are of a lesser or lower specification, connected devices may attenuate to a lower resolution or hertz frequency. If this does not occur automatically you may need to manually specify a lower resolution or hertz frequency on the transmitting device before a signal input is detectable on the receiving device.
