Vaulted, privately purchased piece from Weimar era

with multi-piece construction - solid silver frame and backplate,

with stamped, black painted iron core. The core is magnetic.

Reverse with screwback hardware made of disc and nut.

Marked 800 for silver content and six pointed star for desirable company

Deutsche Offizier Verein, Berlin.

Control mark "S" on the top of the threaded stud.

Rare and sought after variant of a WW1 Iron Cross.

Worn condition, as seen on the pictures.

The core paint is partially worn off. The silver parts with a deep and even patina.

The frame halves perfectly closed on all sides.

Attachment system fully functional.
