Brand new in box.  Master crafted in Japan, with official Toyooka Bag Certification.  This is a gorgeous full grain leather (US cowhide) that has been tanned in Himeji with an antique aniline finish.  

The leather is smooth to the touch, but has a firm structure.  It will keep its shape even after packing with heavy objects like a tablet.  This is not a "smushy sack" bag.   The color currently appears to have a "matte" finish (since it is new), but will develop a glossy luster as it ages and wears. 

This is a hybrid style bag.  Depending on the included straps, the bag can convert to a back pack, shoulder bag, or hand bag.
