Glass Round Bottom (Ballast) Bottle
- Condition: Intact bottle. Bottle needs cleaning.
- Size: Approximately 9-3/4", tip-to-tip.
- Possibly
manufactured during the late 1880s to turn of the last century? (I am
not an expert in bottles and am gauging the period based on internet
research. My understanding is that a round ballast bottle was used for
shipping purposes in that it forced the storing of these corked bottles
in a horizontal manner; in this way, the cork would not dry out.)
- Bubbles in glass. Color: Sea Green. Seam running the length of the bottle and bottom. Heavy weight.
- Ships USPS. Ships only to the continental United States, lower 48.
