German's tonsil drops

For Enlarged/Septic Tonsils with Painful Swallowing, Cough with Pain in Larynx and Hoarse Voice, Coryza, Sneezing, Hay fever, Loss of Smell, Stringy Discharge from nose Throbbing Headache. 

Indications of German's tonsil drops

  • Tonsillitis, Pharyngitis, sore throat associated with cough and whooping cough. 
  • Swollen Tonsils with painful swallowing, Swollen lymph nodes in the neck, White or yellow spots or coating on the throat and tonsils. 
  • Inflammation of throat with redness, Elongated uvula.
  •  Tonsils and Sore Throat 

Action of composition used in German's tonsil drops

Belladonna: Tonsils enlarged; throat feels constricted; difficult deglutition; worse, liquids. Sensation of a lump. Spasms in throat. Continual inclination to swallow. Scraping sensation. 

Bryonia alb: Dry, hacking cough from irritation, Cough, dry, at night; must sit up; worse after eating or drinking, with vomiting, with stitches in chest, and expectoration of rust-colored sputa. 

Coccus cacti: Sore throat with redness. Nightly, periodical attacks of cough from tickling in the larynx with expectoration of a large quantity of viscid, stringy mucus.

Corallium Rubrum: Corallium Rubrum relieves the Constant hawking, owing to an accumulation of mucus in the posterior nares.

Cuprum acet.: Violent spasmodic cough. Dyspnoea. 

Drosera rot: Cough very deep and hoarse; worse, after midnight; yellow expectoration, with bleeding from nose and mouth; retching. Deep, hoarse voice; hoarseness; laryngitis. Rough, scraping sensation deep in the fauces and soft palate.   

Ipecacuanha: Constant constriction in chest. Asthma. Yearly attacks of difficult shortness of breathing. Continued sneezing; coryza; wheezing cough. Cough incessant and violent, with every breath.

Sticta Pulmo: Dry, hacking cough during night; worse, inspiration.   

Spongia tosta: Great dryness of all air-passages, Cough, dry, barking, croupy; larynx sensitive to touch. Chest weak; can scarcely talk 

Thymus ser: Dry nervous breathlessness, whooping-cough, severe spasms but little sputum.  

Dosage of  German's tonsil drops 

 10-15 drops in some water thrice a day, or, as directed by the physician.
