A detailed study on the development of the chronometer, a portable timekeeping device of great accuracy. This device is predominantly used for determining longitude while at sea.

Written by Lieutenant-Commander Rupert Thomas Gould, a member of the British Royal Navy noted for his contributions to horology.


CONDITION

In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, excellent with minor bumping to the extremities. Unclipped dust wrapper also very smart with light shelf wear and a couple of small closed tears. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean throughout.
