This particular listing is a bit of a passion project for me , as I have always been interested in the Graflex XL. Since it is a pretty rare bird, it took me forever to acquire. Now that I have one, I had to make an instant back for it!! Keep checking my listings, I may make other stuff for this great press camera!

This 3-D printed back is an opportunity for you to maximize the versatility of your Graflex XL. This is one of my custom "Lo- Fi" designs for your creative enjoyment. It allows you to shoot Instax Square film !  I designed it so the camera has no clearance issues like some backs. This back allows you to set your camera down flat on a table without removing the back. I added a base you can screw on into the tripod socket. When you are using a tripod, you can remove the stand. It is also dialed perfectly into the film plane so you can use your rangefinder/ viewfinder of your choice to take your pictures. It ejects to the side, so you can use your viewfinder with the eye cup. It uses four aaa batteries. The eject button is just a momentary switch so you just hold it down until the film is ejected and then release the button. This takes some getting used to, but by the 3rd pack I was perfect at it!

I reinforced the mounting screws for a perfectly tight fit that is really strong. I printed solid tops and bottoms with fill at 50 percent(much more than the average 20 percent fill that typical 3-d objects are printed). There is no cropping! The only limitation may be vignetting with certain lenses, but my 80mm and my 100mm had no cropping, no vignetting!

Below is a link to a short video I made on it.

I have included a pack with used/bad photos so you can practice your ejection skills before you mount the back- just eject and reload until you are comfortable with the eject. The back is pre-loaded with batteries and I included some fresh ones- have fun!!

Note: This, unlike many of my items, may be in limited supply as the mechanicals are pretty expensive. If you buy this item and have an Instax square camera(working or non-working is fine, but it cannot be crushed/missing parts), send it to me for a refund on the price of 50 dollars. This only applies to customers who buy this camera back at full price and after I receive the camera from you.

If you don't have the instax square camera, don't worry- I will source one immediately and it will not hold up your instant back.

Note: I put 15 business days handling on my custom Instax Square camera backs because I make them to order. I often come in at earlier than that time, but sometimes I experience a lot of orders(not complaining!), so I will likely need a lot of that time to get it built and shipped to you. Thanks in advance for your patience and understanding! Aaron
