This listing is for a fully functional, 1960's mint condition, BATTERY OPERATED HAPPY N SAD MAGIC FACE CYMBAL CLOWN as shown. This is not a reproduction toy. It is in perfect working order. Overall condition is excellent - mint. Mechanism is strong. Tin litho, plastic and clothing are very nice and clean. No rust or corrosion anywhere. Remote battery compartment is in very good condition and the wiring is flexible and unbroken. The 5 correct actions of this toy are as follows: (1) Arms clang the cymbals together, (2) Cymbals make noise, (3) Clown moves to the left, (4) Clown moves to the right, (5) Clown changes facial expressions. This toy has been tested and works great. This is a "MADE IN JAPAN" toy listed in Don Hultzman's book, COLLECTOR'S GUIDE TO BATTERY TOYS, copyright 2002, second edition. It is listed on page 89. It is a 1960's era toy made by the Yonezawa "Y" Co. and distributed by the Frankonia Co. It has a rarity of 5 on a scale to 10 being the rarest, and a value of $440.00 in C-10 condition without a box. Displays exceptionally well. Would make a nice addition to any clown, circus or carnival themed toy collection. Very fun to watch. Everyone should have one in their collection. I have many other 1950's & 1960's, mint condition & mint in box, battery operated & mechanical wind-up toys listed. Take a look, you may find an old memory from the past.
