Polycarbonate is a excellent clear plastic sheet compared to Plexiglass/Acrylic:

Sheets can easily be cut, milled, and drilled with any standard tools (hacksaw, jigsaw, snips for thin sheets, standard drill bit, etc.) without the cracking or fracturing you may find in Plexiglass. Additionally, Polycarbonate can be bent neatly. Thin sheets can be bent cold with sheet metal techniques, while thicker ones are easy to shape with the help of a heat gun. It is also perfect for thermoforming or vacuum forming. This makes Polycarb perfect for both DIY and professional projects around the home, shop, or for manufacturing

• Exact size sheet is precisely 12x12", unlike other nominal sheets that can be up to 1/4" smaller than specified. Includes a single accurately square & straight cut sheet of 1/8" (0.118", approx 3mm/3.2mm) thick Polycarbonate. 1 foot by 1 feet, 1/8 inch (0.118 inches, approx. 0.125 inch) thick.
