Handmoulded and handpainted. Glazed finish. One bird is upright, the other is pecking, as is traditional. Pecking bird 17cm x 10.5cm x 15cm. Upright bird 13cm x 9cm x 16cm. Glazed finished. Unsigned. Lightly crazed. There are a small number of imperfections in the blue paint though these are minor (last 2 photos). The pecking bird has a small fleabite on the inner base, as shown, which is unseen on display. A good clean pair of good-sized traditional Portuguese folk art birds that display beautifully and are in good to very good overall vintage condition. 475g unpacked.
