A late 19th/early 20th century Chinese Miao (Hmong) tribal child's hat. Made of purple corded fabric with yellow lining in the form of a flower or leaf with a scalloped brim. The hat has quilted padding between the layers. A red applique design can be found on the front peak. Both sides are covered with two rows of silver protective amulet immortal figures as well as dragons and a dragon medallion at the back. There is a total of 30 figures.
