Ceramic Storage Container

We offer a vintage ceramic lidded box produced in the 1970s for Tuxford & Tebbutt cheese company. The half moon shaped cheese box was made to display and preserve English Blue Stilton Cheese and is labeled on the lid and the side of the box.

The box is white ceramic and labeled in black reminiscent of nineteen century ironstone advertising containers.

The Tuxford & Tebbutt Creamery was established in 1780 and is one of only five creameries in the world licensed to produce Blue Stilton cheese.

The cheese box weighs 2 pounds 3.9 ounces and measures 9 3/4” in width, 5 1/2” in depth and 2 5/8” in height.

As seen in the photographs, there is crazing and interior staining. Overall the ceramic cheese box is in very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, breaks or repairs.
