- You will receive 10 rooted English Ivy cuttings, each measuring anywhere between 6" - 12" in lengths. Plant upon arrival.
About:
- English Ivy originally came over from England, establishing a sense of elegance in the corners of yards and houses that other plants just don't have the ability to do.
- According to NASA, English Ivy is one of the TOP 10 AIR PURIFYING PLANTS.
- Once established, English Ivy is basically care free. If it trails a little further than you would like, just cut it back.
Packaging and Unwrapping:
- Please make sure you unwrap your ivy as soon as you receive it. They will be tightly wrapped in plastic and tape, so I suggest using something sharp, like a box cutter to gently slice through the tape. Some leaf loss/damage may occur. Though not always necessary, you can prune many of the lower leaves off in order to direct the plants' energy into developing new growth. The mailing process stresses the plants out, so I highly recommend placing the rooted ends in water to regain some of their strength before you plant them. You can leave them in the water for as long as you want, as long as you change the water frequently.
- To keep shipping costs low, I bundle the ivy vines and place their base roots in a plastic bag filled with some wet soil, which is then secured tightly with tape. Then, I thoroughly wet the ivy vines with water, and I wrap them tightly in plastic, which I secure with tape. After that, I package them in a cardboard box that I tailor make to fit around the wrapped ivy bundle.
