Bodies by James Saunders

James Saunders (1925 –2004) was a prolific English playwright born in Islington, London. His early plays led to him being considered one of the leading British exponents of the Theatre of the Absurd. In Bodies, Joss Ackland as Mervyn, Pauline Letts as Anne, Frances Heater as Helen and Peter Mariner as David. Directed by Dickon Reed.

Old World by Aleksei Arbuzov

An elderly surgeon and a failed circus artist might seem an unlikely couple to fall in love, but this is just what happens. He's in charge of a sanitorium and she's his new patient - and a truly extraordinary patient she turns out to be, with a zany sense of humour and an outsize love of life which nearly drives the poor doctor crazy.  A bitter-sweet sentimental love story by Soviet Russia's only widely respected and nationally performed stage writer.

Pauline Lette as Lidyn and Richard Hurndall as Rodion. Produced by Dickon Reed.

About BBC Transcription Services.

BBC Transcription Services discs were only made available to overseas radio stations for broadcast purposes and were not made available for sale to the general public. However, in the early 90s many international BBC libraries sold their stock to the public.

Typically BBC Transcription Services pressed 100 copies of each disc only with instructions to the overseas radio network to destroy the disc at the end of the licence period.

At BresCollect our aim is to give honest grading of all our records. Due to the amount of stock we have to list, we mostly visually grade our vinyl. All our discs are cleaned before sending out.

We use the following criteria for grading:

Mint (M) - The record is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition.

Excellent (Ex) - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good + (VG+) - The record has obviously been played but has only a few light surface marks. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable

Very Good (VG) - The record has obviously been played many times and has some visible surface marks. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable

Good (G) – The record has visible mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Postage is standard UK 2nd class small parcel at a cost of £3.50. Additional records are only charged at £1.00 extra for each ordered.
