COPTIC TEXTILE DESIGNS M. GERSPACH 1st ED PB 1975 VG+ ART EGYPT CHRISTIAN ROMAN EMPIRE

Straight, uncreased spine with all pages tight and intact, clean and unmarked. Back cover long edge has the thin plastic layer peeling off and away from the paper cover. This hardened style of paper cover also causes the tendency of the covers to slightly bow open, but there are no bends or creases on covers. Back cover has small corner bump on bottom left. All said, I think this 1975 Dover book is wonderful and in better than Very Good condition. See photos.

This book contains all illustrations from the work Les tapisseries coptes (originally published by the Maison Quantin, Paris, n.d. [ca. 1890]), the original text of which was omitted and replaced by a new publisher's note. The note does an excellent job of explaining and putting into context all the origins and mixtures of peoples, eras, architecture, nature and art that culminated in the timeless creative designs.
