I have been cleaning out the closet in my music studio hoping someone else can make good use of this spare used HDX triple power cable. I upgraded my Pro Tools Ultimate system to a late 2013 Mac Pro and a Thunderbolt expansion chassis so I don't need this cable any more. All HDX cards exceed the maximum PCIe power limit and must tap into the mother board auxiliary power to operate. This cable was intended for use in a late-2010 Mac Pro but may also be compatible with a PCIe expansion chassis. I cannot guarantee that compatibility and you will have to determine it on your own. Please see my included drawing in the photos that shows how to connect it into a Mac Pro.
