About the Ferrari 312T3 ] The 312T3 was developed by Ferrari to compete in the 1978 Formula 1 Grand Prix. It had a full-width body with radiators on both sides of the cockpit and a high-powered 3-litre horizontally opposed 12-cylinder engine producing over 500 hp. Unlike many other teams, the tyres were made by Michelin of France, which attracted a lot of attention. The team made its debut in the third round in South Africa, where C. Reutemann won the US West, British and American GPs, while G. Villeneuve also had a successful season, winning his home race in Canada.
