Modern Gibson Style Bone “Barrel” or straight sided pips, also known as a 5th string nut.

These pips will replace a modern, 1/8” pip on a newer Gibson or most Gibson Style Banjos.

These are priced and sold each - 1 (one) unit. I make these right here in the shop in Virginia.  These are never imported, but made and shipped from right here in the USA!

These pips are made a little tall in order for repair and replacement reasons. This give you a bit of extra room should you need it.

I recommend that you insert them upside down and mark the bottom of the pip with a sharp pencil at approximately the height that you would like the rounded end to be, keeping in mind the depth that the slot will need to be, then carefully trimming them square.  You can then reinstall them right side up, use a file to adjust from the bottom again if necessary and glue them in with a light duty adhesive before slotting them.

These pips are UNSLOTTED and ready for installation in your project.

My shop goes through a LOT of these, and I think you'll also find them handy to have around your shop, or as a backup in your banjo case!
