Caligula - AR Drachm / Denarius  (AD 37-41) - NGC Ch XF

Coins classified as silver "drachms" from the Caesarea, Cappadocia come in varieties with Latin and Greek legends, which straddle the line between "Imperial" and "Provincial" issues. Those with latin legends are often considered Imperial issues and were undoubtedly minted to pay Roman soldiers in eastern garrisons.
