Offering a vintage 1940's Melodynamic 75A Microphone from the French company Melodium, made in Paris between 1948 and 1958, although visually the design harkens back to the 1930's and was marketed for general public address, on stage,  speeches, as well as outside broadcasting and sports reporting. Check out the final photo of French president Charles DeGale of a Melodynamic Mic in 1959.
This model came in either brass or chrome. This is the chromed version, in good physical shape but like so many others being offered, this one no longer produces a viable signal. (It only has about 25% of normal output and sounds like a weak crystal, so is being sold for prop, display, or collectable.) It has a nice brass support yoke and large thumbscrews to lock down the tilt angle. Even though it is barely functional, it is still wired to a short 3' cable and might be somewhat useable with lots of preamplification. The display desk stand IS included. Always safe secure packaging and fast fair shipping. **
