Apply by brush or roller directly onto wood (bare, painted or varnished). No priming or sanding necessary on most surfaces.* And no need to wax or lacquer your finished paint work, either.

* For best results, sand bare wood before painting. Ensure surfaces are smooth, dry and free from wax and oil. Prime any surfaces where stain bleed may be an issue, including knots.
