*Here you have an interesting and tough-to-find bit of ALASKA HIGHWAY MEMORABILIA! PLEASE...SEE THE SCAN! This is the CONSTRUCTION OF THE ALCAN featured in a COMPLETE 1942 edition of COLLIER'S MAGAZINE. Inside you get an excellent 4-page article with 9 photos and a map entitled: "NEW NORTHWEST PASSAGE.” (THROUGH MUD AND MUSKEG AND MOUNTAIN WILDERNESS, U.S. ARMY ENGINEERS ARE FORGING AN IMPREGNABLE OVERLAND LINK WITH OUR NORTHERNMOST OUTPOST. THE ALSKA HIGHWAY IS NEARING COMPLETION—AND FAST.) It's a great piece. There is some vintage corner and edge wear. THE FLAWS: There are some pages missing in this issue--that do not affect the Alcan article... and there is some bleeding of pink on the pages... Not mint, but fairly gently read and a tough find! Take it home with you! Winner, please add $5.00 for media mail postage and wonderful packaging. I am happy to send this to any country. 1st class international air postage will be charged… Please note that these vintage Collier’s are fairly heavy.
