A set of 2 antique New York made and packed fruit cake tin.

Once home to a “Black Fruit Cake”, this tin was made by Tindeco (Tin Decorating Company) of Baltimore and packed here in Upstate NY.

Canajoharie is a small town located between Amsterdam and Utica near the sight of an old Mohawk village. 
The Beech Nut Company opened there in 1891 and became Been Nut Packing Company in 1899.

Below gold scrolling, several of the fruit are depicted- pears, cherries, peaches and grapes. The lid and its edge are fully decorated.

It has a hinged lid and shuts evenly and securely.

Condition:

Great vintage condition. Both have no dents of rust, opens easily, on is slightly faded.
