Offering a vintage (first generation) 1930's D9 microphone from American Microphone Company. Located in Pasadena, the heart of the Hollywood area in California, these D9's, from my perspective, have one of the most unique and eye-appealing designs ever. The D9 was a big hit for the company and they continued turning out high quality and modern styles from the 30's through the mid 50's. In 1955 Elgin Watch Company took over the brand and even continued selling the D9's for awhile under their own brand.

This one is from the early Los Angeles production run as noted by the maker's badge, before the company was absorbed by the Elgin Watch Company. This one is in excellent restored shape, and mounted to an accurately reproduced support yoke. These D9's in general are delicate mics, so handle them with careIt also tests with excellent tone and output from its 2 original tandem dynamic elements. Includes the vintage heavy iron Altec desk stand plus brand new XLR cable, 4 feet in length. Note: The desk stand comes with a "quick disconnect" riser...(push the release button to disengage the mic from the stand.) Height with desk stand is 12".** Audio sample available upon request. Always safe secure packaging and fast fair shipping. **
