*Inlaid Tunbridge Ware style banding, with pewter escutcheon.
*quality hand-marbled paper to inside of lid.
*The box opens to reveal a fully fitted interior lined with purple 100% wool felt and a lift-out tray fitted with various compartments revealing a further storage area beneath.
*Original lock and stop hinges…no key
*Side ring handles to tray to assist in removing tray to access storage area below
*100% wool felt to base of box and tray to protect furniture.
* veneers in very sound condition considering the age
*historic knocks and bruises to mainly the corners (see images)
*Tray separated into 3 compartments, two of which include ring-rolls.
***Please bear in mind that antique boxes will almost certainly show historic marks, dents, small missing pieces, shrinkage and stress lines…all of which are normal and often desirable attributes for an antique lover.
