Offering a vintage and super rare find from the 1930's. This microphone was found to be stamped "Field SF NBC"A "field microphone" is one that is used in a setting outside of a studio or controlled setting, so this mic may have been used in some outdoor setting at a San Francisco NBC affiliate. (They actually came stored as a set of 2 mics, but only one mic is being offered in this sale.)  I have never seen one like this ever! It has a fully wooden casing with the old RCA 1/2" "pipe thread" mount that was typically used pre 1950. (We have added the standard 5/8" thread adapter so we could mount the mic to a heavy based Atlas desk stand, included.) There was an old carbon (telephone type) element housed inside that no longer functioned, so we retrofitted a standard dynamic capsule to make this mic compatible with any modern mixer or sound system, no external power required. The old original cable was rotted so we wired on a new 5' shield cable with male XLR plug. Overall height, with the stand, is 13.5". Note: The RCA Victor decal has been added, and the mic casing has been refreshed with new paint as well. ** Audio sample can be provided upon request. Always safe secure packaging and fast fair shipping. **
