Vintage NEC FD1053 360 Kb floppy drive.

In good condition for its age. The protective metal cap on the top head is present which is very rare for these drives but the foam under the cap has degraded and was replaced by double-sided tape.

The drive is extremely rare hence the price. Though I would consider any offer, please make yours.

I tested the drive, it can read and write 360 Kb diskettes and can boot from such diskettes. ImageDisk shows good alignment. Also the drive works well with 1.2 Mb diskettes formatted for 360 Kb.

Due to the age of the drive I can't provide any warranty or accept returns.

If you need any tests before buying, I might do them according to your instructions subject of the availability of necessary tools.
