No. 2 in the "Amaya" series. A simple and direct portrait of my daughter, Amaya. Capturing the depth and feeling of the wide-open presence, vulnerability, and strength in the child gaze.

This one evolved into a fit of erasing marks at the end, helping to shape the face, hair, and general personality and aura of the piece.

Lots of art has an agenda, a planned place it’s taking you.
If you wanted to be taken somewhere you've already been, why look at art?
Art is about discovery, about feeling the moment where the artist leapt, and leaping with them.

Come along for the journey.
