Wear three colors, in one, with this gorgeous (YSL-inspired?) fancy iridescent silk taffeta blouse...

For the Fall/Winter 1982 collection, Yves Saint Laurent presented a slew of fancy pseudo-victorian or Regency styled pieces, including some ruffled iridescent taffeta blouses and skirts. I'm guessing this was probably the inspiration for this top! Found in a Manhattan thrift shop, I believe it was most likely made by a skilled seamstress or tailor, for a well-to-do client in the early 80's. If this is the case, it was most likely worn no more than once, judging on its condition. It is made of a lightweight silk taffeta, which has a green overall cast, but glints blue or gold, when the light hits it right. This fanciful blouse features a high-neck collar and full length sleeves. A standing ruffle lines the neck, while double ruffle tiers adorn either side of the v-neckline. The sleeve's cuffs are French-style, and finished with self-covered French cuff buttons (like little cufflinks). The right side of the neckline does feature three sets of tiny snap closures. There is no lining, no maker's marks or labels and no other details to note. Overall condition is mint, with no signs of wear and no flaws to note. Please review photographs for full details.
