Introduction:

As early as 1960, "Sugden" company's predecessor Research Electronics has been established by (Jim Edward Sugden). Sugden was originally an engineer for UK EMI and Granda TV, and is well-known in the electro-acoustic industry. Sugden's products were developed and produced under his leadership, and the company was later renamed "Sugden".

In the 1960s, audio manufacturers launched Class B amplifiers to save costs, but "Sugden" still rejected the crowd, insisting on the introduction of expensive but sweet-sounding Class A amplifiers. Amplifiers from "Sugden" are known around the world for their great sound, reliability and durability. Take the A21SE pure class A power amplifier with an output of 21W per channel as an example. Its predecessor, the A21, came out as early as 1969. The age of the machine is unbelievable! This amplifier has the potential to be the longest-lived model in the world so far.

Looking at the history of "Sugden", the continuation of the classic model A21, almost every equipment launched by the company is a long-life model, and its stability and durability are really terrifying; the A21SE is the continuation of this classic model. Its simple appearance has a familiar intimacy, but I have never used "Sugden" equipment before. I was wondering, and after thinking about it for a while, I suddenly realized that its simple appearance is exactly what most of today's domestic products are. Amplifier imitates the object. But this can also see the position of A21SE in the minds of most music fans and manufacturers.

To be honest, I didn't have high hopes at first. But I can't help but take my hat off to "Jim Edward Sugden" the moment I power up the A21SE. Taking advantage of limited cost and limited space, "Sugden" can tune up a dual-mono all-pure Class A amplifier that has been popular for decades, which is really extraordinary.

Conclusion:

The main indicators of today's electronic consumer products, in addition to product quality, cost performance is also an important consideration. In terms of performance, in terms of sound, the "Sugden" A21SE pure class A power amplifier has told us its quality throughout history. Although the price is not very cheap, every penny spent on "Sugden" is for beautiful sound. Therefore, this amplifier can be said to be hard to find rivals at this price! If you are not an audiophile family who likes to change phones, this "Sugden" A21SE pure class A power amplifier will definitely be your good companion for listening to music.

DIY Kit debugging instructions:

Debugging is very simple, there are two TEST points on the PCB, measure the two points of TES with a multimeter, and adjust the adjustable resistor to adjust the voltage to between 1V--1.2V. NOTE, this is a class A power amplifier, it needs a large enough heat sink, it is recommended that the weight of the heat sink should not be less than 1.8KG. When debugging, please remember to insulate the output tube and apply silicon paste to help the heat sink to dissipate heat.

NOTE: We have DIY kit or Finished board (Optional)
