ORIGINAL AUTOGRAPHED STUDIO PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPH OF AUSTRIAN PIANIST GOTTFRIED GALSTON (1879-1950)

This very rare studio portrait photograph of the Austrian pianist Gottfried Galston is inscribed and signed by Galston. The photograph image size measures 11 1/2 x 7 5/8 inches. The photograph comes matted under glass in the original frame which measures 17 7/8 x 13 1/2 inches.

PLEASE NOTE CONDITION: The photograph is in very fine original vintage condition. The frame has evidence of slight wear.

Gottfried Galston, Austrian pianist, arranger and teacher, studied with Leschetizky, Salomon Jadassohn and Reinecke. Galston performed extensively throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand, the USA, and Russia from 1900 through 1926. He published a Studienbuch (1909; 3rd ed., Munich, 1920) and analytical notes to a series of 5 historical recitals. He moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where he taught at the St. Louis Institute of Music until his death in 1950.

4. BUYERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING, HANDLING, INSURANCE, AND INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS FEES!

Shipping prices quoted include packaging in corrugated box with bubble wrap and/or peanuts. For larger or expensive works of art a crate may be ordered. Insurance is required on all art shipments. Buyers pay for insured shipping. I do not ship my items for free. I prefer shipping items via USPS PRIORITY MAIL but with larger items I will ship via UPS.

I will try my best to keep the shipping costs to a minimum, however, please be aware that I am concerned with using the correct materials for proper packaging of the artwork so that it will arrive safe & sound.
