Complete Vintage/Antique Japanese Porcelain Tea Set For 6 Persons - 23 Pieces - Lithophane Geisha Moriage Dragonware Handpainted - Signed Happy - Cups Saucers Sideplates Sugar and Milk Jug Teapot - Japan Collector Collectible Maximalist Maximalism. 23 pieces - 6 cups, 6 saucers, 6 Side Plates milk/cream jug, lidded sugar bowl, teapot and lid. Red printed base stamp (Happy'). Made in Japan. Glazed finish. Handpainted gilded moriage dragonware with stylised lithophane geisha motifs in the case of each cup. Likely early 20th Century.
Measurements - Cup h65.2cm, d9.8cm, width12 cm, capacity 200ml. Saucers d14cm/5.5cm, h2cm. Side plates d18cm/7". Jug h9cm, d6cm, w12cm, capacity 250ml. Lidded sugar bowl h14cm, d9.5cm, depth 9cm, width 17cm, capacity 450ml. Teapot h16cm, d9cm, depth 12cm, width22cm.capacity 750ml.
Condition - Artwork is in good overall order with age appropriate surface wear including the gilding. Good smooth rims. Two saucers have some glazing imperfections that occurred during manufacture, though these are minor (last 2 photos). Once cup has a small fleabite to the base though again this is minor (photo 22). A superb set that has obviously been well cared for and is in good to very good overall antique/vintage condition. Express Tracked Domestic Shipping included.
