VERY RARE ANTIQUE LEBANON, NEW HAMPSHIRE TEMPERANCE SOCIETY REFORM CLUB SONG SHEET, PROHIBITION, Anti-Alcohol, Anti-Drinking, Victorian, c.1880

DESCRIPTION: Scans show all the details. Really rare ANTIQUE TEMPERANCE ANTI-ALCOHOL SOCIETY SONGSHEET. Scans show it all. You can picture the members of this anti-drinking society sitting around, singing from this sheet at their meetings. Long before Prohibition in the '20's, this was from the Victorian period, c.1880.

Made of heavy cardboard for longevity and repeated use, this has words from 22 songs printed on both sides of the sheet. Mostly religious, spirtual, and temperence related words and songs. Most have the tunes that they are based on.

Came with the Lebanon Temperence Reform Club Pledge card, also listed on my ebay, Not sure if the "LEBANON" refers to a religious thing or a town in NEW HAMPSHIRE or NEW YORK or another state.

This measures 7 1/4" x 9 1/4".

You will not see another thing like this again, so it is great for a related antique collection or display. A VERY RARE PIECE TO FIND. A GREAT GIFT !!!    A very offbeat and unusual item. Very suitable for framing. Maybe it would make a good joke in a restaurant or bar?? Please see my other related listings for temperance admission tickets and SIGNED PLEDGE CARDS, to avoid drinking !!!!
