The item has hardly been used since 2015, it still powers on, but occasionally does restart on its own. The power cord is slightly damaged as per second photo, but still powers the device. Could do with a new cord.

The device was put in a protective case as soon as bought. Perfect for those that want to collect for their collection.

This Brown Microsoft Zune 30GB model 1089 is a sleek and stylish portable media player that offers exceptional performance and features which was released by Microsoft in 2006. It boasts a vibrant 3-inch LCD colour display with a resolution of 320x240 pixels, which delivers sharp and vivid visuals. With a 30GB hard drive, this device has ample storage space to hold up to 7,500 songs, 25,000 pictures, or 100 hours of video.

The Zune 30GB model 1089 comes with built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, which allows you to stream music and share photos wirelessly with other Zune users. It has an FM radio tuner, and a headphone jack plus this device offers various ways to enjoy your favourite music and podcasts.

The device is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which can provide up to 14 hours of music playback or up to 4 hours of video playback on a single charge. It also comes with a USB cable for syncing and charging the device.

Overall, the Zune 30GB model 1089 was a well-designed and feature-rich portable media player, but it was ultimately unable to compete with Apple's iPod, which dominated the market at the time. Microsoft discontinued the Zune product line in 2011.

The brown version of the Zune 30GB was not officially sold in the United Kingdom. The Zune 30 was primarily released in the United States and had limited availability in a few other countries, but the brown color variant was not part of the international release. The primary colors available for the Zune 30 in the UK were black and white.

In the film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol3, the Zune 30GB has memorable appearance as Peter Quill's (also known as Star-Lord) music player of choice. Quill is depicted as a fan of 70s and 80s music, and the Zune 30GB serves as his way of playing and listening to his favourite tunes. The use of the Zune 30GB in the film serves as a nod to Quill's love for vintage technology and music.

The appearance of the Zune 30GB in Guardians of the Galaxy brought renewed attention to the device, and many fans of the film became interested in purchasing one for themselves. However, as mentioned earlier, the Zune product line was discontinued by Microsoft in 2011, and the Zune 30GB is no longer available for purchase in the market hence the rarity of this item.
