This belonged to my mother (b 1924).  She just kept buying umbrellas her entire life, and most of the time they ended up in the closet and didn't come out. I have to say this was her favorite, so it has been used.  They were all from the 1940s to 1960s, and this was one of the older ones.  We lived near Philadelphia but I didn't recognize the label. I opened it but didn't lock it in because it is stiff. you may need to oil or whatever a collector does to loosen up the latch.  There are no holes or broken attachments  or problems, just stiff.
