Paddythepeddler is now supplying these replacement O-rings that fit certain models of Shimano quick-releases for hubs and seatposts.
These specifically fit vintage Shimano Deore XT M730 and Shimano Deore DX M650 quick-release skewers (both for hubs and seatposts) from the late 1980s and early 1990s. Virtually all of the old O-rings on those models have dried up, split, and fallen off.
These O-rings will often fit a variety of other quick-release brands and models (there are some early 1990's Suntour XC Pro QR's that these will work with for example.)
The O-rings provided in this deal are made of highly weather resistant VITON rubber, and are actually higher quality than the original Shimano rings. These rings are NOT made by Shimano, but by a third-party source.
These rings are NOT an exact physical copy of the Shimano design, but will fit properly and snugly, as shown in the photos.
1st photo in the series shows the new O-rings you will receive, 2nd photo shows the typical condition of your old skewers, and last photo shows the replacement O-ring as installed nice and snug on a Shimano acorn nut.
