Authentic artisanal ethnic bag handmade in Guatemala by women of Mayan ancestry. According to legend, Guatemalan children tell their problems to the worry dolls, placing them under their pillow when they go to bed at night. By morning, the dolls have gifted them with the wisdom and knowledge to eliminate their worries.

Each doll, with its unique dress, head wrap, and face, is hand-sewn to multicolor cotton fabric. 16 small dolls and 3 larger dolls decorate the bag’s front. One doll is missing her head (oops!) and a few have lost their tiny arms. Please see photos.

The top of the bag can be fully closed with a zipper. There are two zippers on the outside back, and one interior zipper pocket. Double strap handles with 7” drop. Bag is 14” wide, 9” tall, 3” deep (but can hold a lot).

This is a precious collector’s item, as well as a useful every day or special occasion purse, if handled with care.
