Bali sterling silver is made on the Indonesian island of Bali.  

Bali has been been producing artisanal silver for generations.

8 BEADS 

The silver is mined in Indonesian.  It is mixed with a tiny bit of copper to make it stronger.  All though most pieces will not be marked, it is considered to be closer to sterling silver rather than fine silver.

After the beads are formed they are cleaned with tamarind fruit and then dipped into an antiquing solution.  This fills the deeper grooves  with a darker color which creates a contrast between high and low parts of the bead.
