Random samples were tested and found to have low Vgs, an average of 0.7V within a range of 0.54-0.96V and

low IDss, averaging 1.0mA within a range of 0.76-1.4mA.

These specs are very similar to 2N5457 and MPF102 and may be used as substitues for these or a number of other JFETs.

They work great as amplifiers or high impedance input buffers in guitar pedals.
