  • Beschreibung: Gisela Petschner erkrankte früh an Kinderlähmung, was längere Klinikaufenthalte zur Folge hatte. Später leitete sie eine Malgruppe in einer psychiatrischen Klinik und verbrachte ihre letzten Lebensjahre in einem Altenheim. Die kranken und alten Menschen, denen sie begegnete, wurden zu ihren Modellen und bestimmten ihr künstlerisches Schaffen. Es ist anzunehmen, dass auch die dargestellte Dame eine Patientin einer Klinik war.

  • Description: Gisela Petschner fell ill with polio at an early age, which resulted in lengthy stays in hospital. Later she led a painting group in a psychiatric clinic and spent the last years of her life in a home for the elderly. The sick and old people she met became her models and determined her artistic work. It can be assumed that the lady depicted was also a patient in a clinic.
