  • Beschreibung: Die Fotografie zeigt einge Boote mit und ohne Fracht an einem Kai am Nil. Jean-Pascal Sébah, Sohn des in Istanbul ansässigen Fotografen Pascal Sébah, unterhielt ein Studio in Kairo. Ebenso wie der Vater gehörte auch der Sohn zu den führenden Vertretern der Orientalistischen Fotografie und erhielt unter anderem offizielle Aufträge von orientalischen und europäischen Königshäusern.

  • Description: The photograph shows boats with and without cargo at a quay on the Nile. Jean-Pascal Sébah, son of the Istanbul-based photographer Pascal Sébah, maintained a studio in Cairo. Like his father, the son was one of the leading exponents of Orientalist photography and received official commissions from Oriental and European royal houses, among others.
