This model is basically a copy of the famous Western Electric "Candlestick Style" mic that was famous through the 20-s, 30's and 40's. STC is a U.K. company Standard Telephones and Cables. It's a Bakelite build, top to bottom, and has been restored to "close to new" condition. So, if you're looking for a vintage look with a modern sound, this is it!  This telephone-style handset has been remodded into a high-fidelity microphone. The base and stem has been repainted and clear-coated, rewired, and a new high-fidelity dynamic capsule installed to replace the old non-working carbon pickup. A new 4' cable has been rewired with a 1/4" phono plug.
