This original edition is in a beautiful binding made during the Napoleon III era.

The owner added his name (John O. Dargent ?) + Paris 1868, and the most interesting : he wrote all the realized prices of the 1647 books sold during this auctions sale. When the book was unsold, he wrote "retiré". So there are all the prices of the books in Francs (gold francs), which is very precious and usually unknown.
