The Shetland-miniature-donkey-Section A lightweight no fill combo turnout rug is ideal in warm weather or in cooler weather for hardier types.
The rug is made from 1200D waterproof and breathable outer which in addition has Teflon coating making it even more repellent to water and stains and making it tougher and more windproof.
The underside has a soft nylon lining to help prevent rubbing and keep the coat smooth. The rug has adjustable cross surcingles with rubber washers to help unfastening and a generous tail flap with reflective strips.
There are shoulder gussets fitted which allow the pony more freedom of movement and this in itself also helps to prevent friction and rubbing.
There are double webbing detachable leg straps these are not sewn in so can be easily removed if not required or if need replacing without the needing for stitching in.
At the chest there are double adjustable straps with D rings and quick release clips so quick and easy to put on once adjusted to the size of the pony.
There is a combo neck with double adjustable neck fastenings and a great feature of this rug, like all the Ruggles turnouts, is the elasticated poll which helps to stop rain going down the mane line and helps to keep the neck in place. There is no harsh seam on the neck on the underside which can cause rubbing.
There are reflective strips to the chest, hind quarters and on the tail flap to assist visibility which is particularly useful if having to lead on the roads.
The rug is machine washable and comes packed in a zipped bag with handles ideal for storing the rug when not in use.
