For sale is this gorgeous restored cast iron fireplace insert in a late Georgian / early Victorian style. It is made by the Carron foundry, who have been casting fireplaces using traditional methods and materials for over 150 years. This is their recreation of a classic period design.
It is supplied with a removable cast iron grate to burn solid fuel, which can be removed to make way for your own gas fire if that is your preference.
It has been stripped, cleaned, heatproof treated and polished to bring out its character.
It has been cast in a late Georgian / early Victorian style, distinguishable by its use of simple, geometrically balanced ironwork around a formal square opening.
The beautiful detail and quality can be seen in the pictures both inside and outside of the fire, which would cost upwards of £700 if bought new with a solid fuel kit and polished finish. Ours is like new and is available for much less.
The fireplace and all its parts are made of solid, very heavyweight, cast iron. It features an open throat to assist with draw and ease of air flow.
Complete with ornate fret bars and and ash cover. This fireplace is ready to install and will add warmth and character to your home.
Fits neatly into an existing fireplace opening and will fit into most standard mantle surrounds or stand proud as it is.

Our fireplaces and surrounds are restored and finished using traditional methods and materials. A restored fireplace will bear well concealed signs of the restoration work and will have natural imperfections due to the nature of antique cast iron. This simply adds to the character of the piece in our view.
Payment:
We accept credit/debit card, Paypal and Apple Pay at the ebay checkout. Please contact us if you prefer to pay for your fireplace by bank transfer. Payments should be made within three days of sale. Please note that we are duty bound to report any non-payers to ebay.
Collection and delivery:
We will securely courier the item to most parts of the U.K. but please check with us if you live in a remote location such as the Scottish Highlands or Channel Islands.
For deliveries, we ensure all of our restored fireplaces are protective wrapped and delivered by our trusted courier, who takes great care with each item. The drivers will carry your fireplace into your home and place it in a location of your choice. The cost of delivery is a flat fee of £70 per item, payable at the checkout.
If you are local to us, your item can be collected in person from our home workshop in Wilmslow, Cheshire (SK9 postcode). We will assist you where possible in loading.
Installation:
If you are installing a heating appliance in your home, it is your responsibility to ensure that you or your builder follows building regulations and, where applicable, complies with HETAS and GAS SAFE regulations in the UK. Cast Iron Fireplace Restorations Ltd cannot accept responsibility for the performance or suitability of an individual fireplace, which should be assessed prior to installation by a suitably qualified installer.
If your fireplace is purely for decorative purposes, the HETAS and GAS SAFE regulations do not apply.

Returns and cancellation policy:
As most of our items are very old they are sold as described. We endeavour to give a genuine and honest description for every item to avoid any misunderstandings or issues.
If you are not completely happy with the item we will happily cancel the sale without fuss and provide a refund in accordance with Consumer Contract Regulations. You must return the goods to us within 14 days of receipt and they must be returned in exactly the same condition as when purchased.
