Easton took it upon themselves to craft a bat that is like nothing we have yet to see thus far on slow pitch diamonds. The hazy, sun-like graphics are a true beauty to behold and when this bat connects with softballs, we believe that you'll love the results that are produced.
In addition to the look, the tech that goes into the bat is going to be groundbreaking. The THING will be a 2-piece, composite barreled bat (with an alloy handle), which is fairly common in the slow pitch world. However, the bat has the new Triple-Wall Insert Design and the fruit of its addition to the bat will be more barrel flex and top performance right from swing number one. As well, the handle is made from Ti7 Wrought Aluminum material. This handle design should assist the Triple-Wall Insert in allowing for the most optimal amount of barrel flex. Easton says that this barrel flex should assist the bat in getting through the hitting zone faster!
And finally, this bat will feature Easton's "Loaded" distinction in regard to their Player Optimized Weighting system. Their "Loaded" feel is typically very similar to what other manufacturers call a "slightly end-loaded" feel.
