Mature Hippieastrum Bulbs. Ready to flower.

Flowers are bright red with a white centre. Blooms are about 100mm in diameter and look spectacular especially when planted in a clump.

Bulbs usually take at least 3 years to bloom.  The size of the bloom increases as the bulb strengthens with age.  Each flower spike has between three and four trumpet shaped flowers which open one after each other.

Sword shaped leaves are deep green and can grow to a metre long depending on the location.

The bulbs are freshly dug and will be supplied with bare roots and trimmed foliage to suit the packaging.  On arrival please plant in a pot in a shaded position and water with a seaweed solution to help with shock. After a couple of weeks they should be ready to plant in their final location.

Sorry!  I can only post to Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

I will consolidate orders and refund excess postage.
